Storywish is an AI-powered personalized children's story generator and printed picture-book platform. Parents and kids create custom characters from a photo, a sketch, or a description, choose an art style, and generate a fully illustrated story. Every story can be narrated, edited page by page, and ordered as a printed keepsake book delivered to your door.
How Storywish works
- Make characters from anything. Snap a photo, sketch a face, or describe one in words. Tweak their look, age, and personality, then let Storywish reconcile every detail with one tap.
- Describe a story in a sentence. Type, talk it out by voice, or tap the sparkle to auto-draft a prompt. Storywish turns one sentence into a full, directed picture book.
- Play while your story renders. Dozens of built-in minigames keep kids busy during the few minutes a story takes to generate.
- Read it, or have it read to you. A picture-book layout with cinematic transitions and optional narration that highlights every word as it is spoken.
- Change what you'd like. Rewrite a page with a prompt, paint over part of an illustration to inpaint a change, or regenerate a single image. Every edit re-syncs picture and text.

We're parents of young children ourselves. We know the bedtime "one more story" negotiation, the couch crumbs, and those moments when your kid's imagination completely floors you.

- You can explore characters and read public stories without signing up. To create your own story you'll need an account, which includes 2 free stories, 6 characters, and 30 edits. No credit card required on the free plan.
- How long does it take to create a story?
- Most stories are ready in a few minutes, from your idea to a fully illustrated picture book. Narration is optional and free on every plan.
- What ages are Storywish stories for?
- Storywish creates stories designed for children ages 4 to 12. Parents control the characters, art style, and themes so each story matches their child's age and interests.
- Can I get a printed Storywish book?
- Yes. You can order any story as a printed book on any plan, no subscription needed. Each printed book is $25, with free standard shipping to US addresses. Premium plans include printed books: 1 a month on Premium Monthly and 10 a year on Premium Yearly. Books are 8.5 x 8.5 inch stapled softcovers, printed in full color on 80 lb coated paper with a glossy cover.
- How much does Storywish cost?
- Storywish has a Free plan ($0), Basic ($12/month), and Premium ($45/month, printed books included). Annual plans: Digital at $120/year (~$10/month) and Premium at $450/year, printed books included.
- Is there a pay-as-you-go option?
- Yes. If you only need an extra story or character without subscribing, pay-as-you-go pricing starts at $2 per story and $0.25 per character.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. There are no long-term contracts on any plan; you can cancel whenever you like.
- Is my family's data safe?
- We don't sell your family's information. Your photos and character details are used only to make your stories, and the outside services that handle them, such as our AI and cloud storage providers, process them only for that. Your uploaded photo is used to create your character's portrait and is not kept afterward. In a family photo, each face is read once to fill in its own card, then the photo is deleted. We use masked session recordings to find bugs and confusing spots: they show taps and pages, never what you type or upload, and they stay off during kids' minigames.
